Building Independent Communication and Self-Advocacy for Children with Profound Autism
This will be an interactive & hands-on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) workshop.
What you’ll learn: The why, what and how to teach Common myths and pitfalls of AAC How to teach self-advocacy skills, choice making, self-initiation and safe protesting using research aligned strategies.
May 26th from 6-8pm
A few things to know before you arrive:
• Registration is limited to 30 participants, so your spot is confirmed and reserved. If you do need to cancel, please notify the presenter (email: ling@linggo.com)
• Refreshments and pizza will be provided.
• Feel free to bring your child's AAC system if they use one. We'll also have a low-tech communication board and linggo AAC software available to explore.
